Today our final trips involved a boat trip through the swamps to see the alligators!!!!! yes and there were lots all friendly I think as they did not shy away from our boat.
It was amazing to see the alligators in their own habitat up close and personal.
We all enjoyed this trip.
Our next trip was to visit a sugar plantation and this gave us an insight into the life of a slave 150 years ago.
Their cabins were on the plantation in view of the "owners large home". The cabins contained a bed, table and fire.
We have enjoyed all aspects of this wonderful trip through the Deep South and we will be sorry to leave on Saturday to start our journey home. It has been very hectic going on all the tours and optional ones too as we didn't want to miss a thing but we have had a ball!!!!!!!
